history_50_03.jpgA History of Davlan Engineering, 1963 to present

Lanny Lamont and David Weitz, Sr. founded Davlan on the belief that if you provide a quality product, at a competitive price, with timely delivery, and consider yourself part of your customer's team, you will grow with your customer.

Since the first project in 1963, Davlan has delivered on this promise and the company has grown and earned an unsurpassed reputation for precision and performance. We hope you enjoy a look back at the past 60 years.

1963

  • Davlan was founded in an 800 sq ft cellar. Two high school friends, Lanny Lamont and Dave Weitz,
bought a lathe for $100.00 and carried it into this 6 foot tall fruit cellar and began producing their
first jobs. While keeping their day jobs they worked nights in order to complete orders
